As a CNA and QMAP, I've had the honor of discovering this unique effort of providing emotional and physical support to others when I became employed under CDASS. I have provided these services in private homes, assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation and memory care centers. I have the heart for and specialize in chronic/terminal illnesses, sometimes with the added complication of dementia. I've discovered those in need thrive on my unique ability and love of providing care to someone who cannot physically handle their own needs. At the end of a shift, I thrive on the rapport I've built with my client, in getting them to smile and laugh, even in the midst of some uncomfortable situations. I am often reminded of how to enjoy the little things in life when I realize my client can't do those little things. It would be a honor for me to improve your quality of life with my care-giving.
